One click, no sign-up.
This tool shows a live countdown to the next weekend or your next payday, updated every second.
Some days you just need a number to stare at. This is that number. Switch to payday mode and enter the day of the month your pay lands if that deadline feels more pressing.
How we work it out
The weekend countdown runs to midnight at the start of Saturday in your device's own time zone and updates every second. Payday mode counts down to 9:00 am on the day of the month you choose, and rolls over to next month once that time has passed. If you pick a day that a month doesn't have, such as the 31st in February, it uses the last day of that month.
How it's worked out
- In weekend mode it counts to the next Saturday at midnight, on your device's clock. If it is already Saturday or Sunday, it says so.
- In payday mode it counts to 9am on the payday you choose, which is a day of the month. If that day has already passed this month, it counts to next month. In a month without that day, such as the 31st in February, it uses the last day.
- The time left is shown as days, hours, minutes and seconds.
On a Wednesday at noon, the weekend starts at midnight on Saturday. That is 2 days and 12 hours away.
Common mistakes
- Saving everything for Friday afternoon. Leave a little time in case it overruns.
- Counting to the weekend when your own days off are different.
