Free tools for delivery drivers

Know what each delivery really pays, whatever you ride or drive.

Delivery work looks simple: you take an order and you get paid. But the pay that shows on the app is not what you keep. Fuel or charging, servicing, tyres, insurance, the time you spend waiting and the cut the platform takes all come out of it. These tools show the number that matters: what is left for you for every order and every hour.

They work for cyclists, e-bike and scooter riders, motorbike couriers, and drivers of cars, vans and electric vehicles, in kilometres or miles, and in any currency. You bring your own numbers from your receipts, your app and your records. The tools give estimates and general information, and they never tell you what to claim, what to charge or which platform to use.

How these fit the working year

Knowing your vehicle costs

Work out what your bicycle, e-bike, scooter, car or van really costs for every km or mile, and compare two vehicles before you buy or switch.

Choosing your orders

Check whether an order is worth taking once the distance, the waiting and the cost of running your vehicle are counted.

Planning your shift

See how far one battery goes, how many charges or swaps a shift needs, and what the electricity costs.

At tax time

Compare a flat mileage rate with the work share of your real costs, using the rates from your own tax authority.

Prices and pay over time

Work out percentage changes in fares and costs, and convert hourly, weekly and yearly pay.

Questions

Do these tools work for bicycles and e-bikes?

Yes. A bicycle has no fuel cost, so its cost per km is servicing, tyres and the rest spread over the distance. For an e-bike you give watt-hours per km and your electricity price.

Do they work in miles, and in my currency?

Yes. Choose miles or kilometres, litres per 100 km, miles per US gallon or miles per UK gallon, and pick a currency from the list. Your choices are remembered in this browser only.

What does an order really pay me per hour?

Use the "is this delivery worth it?" calculator for one order, or the real earnings calculator for a whole week. Both take your vehicle costs and your time, waiting included.

Can I claim mileage on my taxes?

It depends on your country, your vehicle and how you are classed for tax. The mileage calculator only compares two numbers you type in. Check the guidance from your tax authority or ask a tax professional.

Is anything stored or sent?

The calculators run in your browser, so what you type stays on your device. Your currency, distance unit and a few results are remembered in this browser so one tool can fill in the next.

These are estimates and general information, not financial, tax, legal or professional advice. Pay, fees, costs, tax and rules for delivery work differ by country, city and platform, so use your own figures and check the rules where you live.
